Zarqawi's Death Insignificant to Iraq?

With news coming out of Iraq that Zarqawi's successor may be responsible for the death of two recently captured U.S. soldiers, the actual importance of the supposed leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq continues to be questioned. Some reports suggest the opposite in fact, claiming the U.S. is using Abu Musab al-Zarqawi as a cartoon-like character to build support for the war both in Iraq and the U.S. Whether Zarqawi was just another terrorist bogeyman or was an actual power player in Iraq's future seems somewhat irrelevant, however, as the so-called "insurgency" grows in strength. Regardless, Japan is not waiting around any longer and will likely have pulled out all 550 troops by the end of July.
