“Wealth is a global phenomenon”

The number of millionaires in the world rose to about 8.7 million people recently, equaling about $33.6 trillion in total wealth. A U.N. report issued last week, however, cautioned that urban poverty is growing. The report suggested that some 6.7 million people were forced from their homes due to evictions between 2000 and 2002.
